The Mods vs Rockers 2013 PledgePage

At the inaugural Melbourne Mods v Rockers day charity run in October 2009 for the first time two hundred motorcycles and scooters rode together from the Brighton to Hawthorn, raising $2,000 for OzChild. Who would have ever imagined that in 2012 there would be a massive crowd of onlookers, 400 Motorcycles and Scooters in attendance and $7,000 would be raised on behalf of Ozchild? It’s a big ask but organisers the 59 Motorcycle Club and the Melbourne Crusaders Scooter Club are hoping to see more than 500 Motorcycles Scooters and raise $10,000 for Ozchild at the 2013 Mods v Rockers Day, to be held on Sunday the 10th November 2013.

The tradition of rivalry between Mods (Scooters) and Rockers (Motorcycles) commenced in 1964 and so although well established is now friendly and light hearted with Mods and Rockers working together to raise money for Charity.

The 2013 Mods v Rockers day will go down in history not only as a retrospective look at the rivalry between Mods and Rockers of the 1960’s, but due to the new found collaboration between rivals of old, an event that gathers increasing momentum each year and our aim for 2013 is to raise more than $10,000.00 for OzChild.
